Here at PD, we just wanted to take a break from all of the holiday cheer at the Neiman Marcus Returns Line to give a great big bold Congratulations to the biggest bullies on the block, Laurel and Rachel Bowman-Cryer!
Yes, the two successfully sued the owners of Sweet Cakes By Melissa in Oregon for discrimination, because in 2013, the establishment refused to make their wedding cake, recommending another bakery instead— a move that was so hatefully evil that the lesbian couple suffered from weight gain and depression.
Wow, with nerves of jelly like that our staff can only wonder how they survived Middle School.
Anyways, for all of their depression and weight gain from not having a cake made for their big day by Melissa Klein (which, begs the question: Are Melissa’s cakes just that good?) sweet-tooth sympathizer and Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian ordered the bakery owners to pay Laurel and Rachel Bowman-Cryer $135,000 in psychological damages.
While attempting to overturn Avakian’s ruling for the last six months, the owners of Sweet Cakes By Melissa have reportedly paid the $135,000 plus interest this week.
Well, now that the situation has been rectified one can just imagine how much weight the lesbian pair will loose and how much happier their lives will be come 2016.
