There’s certainly a lot to worry about when flying these days.
If you’ve read You Are Not So Smart by David McRaney, you’re worried about having another plane slam into yours upon landing, burning you alive. If not, CNN has you fretting over Ebola, cabin strikes, restless leg syndrome, and Russian Separatists. Plus, while Samuel L. Jackson has long preached about the perils of drugged up snakes popping out of the overhead compartment, Air India has now added rats to the worry list.
Side note: Anyone else getting a weird Witches flashback?
It’s not just the ick factor that grounded the flight, but rather the fact that similar to Snakes on a Plane (“Any one of those slimy little pieces of shit can trip a circuit or a relay or a hydraulic and this bird goes down faster than a Thai hooker.”), any of those furry flea carriers could chew through electrical wires also downing the plane faster than Michael Moore downs a BLT.
Stressed yet? Well, take a second and let Air India allay your fears with their response to the incident where they said that rats were a “common phenomenon” in aviation.
So, when is you’re next flight and how much Valium will you need to get through it?
