Necessary.Sure, you’ve seen mainstream media story after story on how the TSA is hard at work hiring worker bees to riffle through your luggage, swipe your Lancôme and pat you down during your summer travels, but what the media has left out was the $47,400 spent by the DHS on an Arrow App.

No, no— $47,400 of taxpayer funds wasn’t spent on a trivia app with the B-list superhero from the CW, but instead that money was used to pay IBM to create a basic app which would allow a TSA officer to tap an iPad screen (also provided by the taxpayer) to randomly indicate either a left or right arrow to show which long line the traveler should go wait in.I’d say that’s a lowball figure.

A beneficial and worthwhile idea, since obviously hand signs a can easily be misinterpreted and considered racist.
