Since it’s still technically September and we did touch on selfie etiquette at the beginning of the month, let’s also finish out with a genius time to take one: During a speech on genocide at the United Nations.
Last week, during her father’s, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, speech on the 1992 Nagorno-Karabakh War, 33 year old Leyla Aliyeva decided to take a few shocked face selfies.
To be fair, in the beginning her phone was out so she could record her father’s speech (since VVS is so much better than the UN’s own telecasting), and she only decided to do the selfies as shade reaction shots when her father called out the current Armenian President, Serzh Sargsyan, directly for his personal role in the genocide.
Don’t forget though, last year Leyla Aliyeva received the Moscow State International Relations Institute’s Scientific Council Medal of Merit. Brilliant!
