Okay, okay. It’s been months since the 2016 US Election, and while we’re done with it (like seriously done, we lived through it, we don’t need more of it, please for the love of all that is Holy let’s move on), the rest of the world seems to still be stuck in a stupor trying to comprehend what happened and why.
Perhaps PD has come to terms faster on this one from having been shell-shocked since last March when Trump was actually still in the race and therefore we’ve been able to create a certain level of detachment, but if you haven’t yet managed to noodle this one out, our PD Book Club pick is for you.
Last June we laughed through his 1995 All the trouble in the World, but P.J. O’Rourke’s recently released How the Hell Did This Happen?: The Election of 2016 isn’t quite as humorous (again mostly due to us having lived through it).
A few less laughs aside, How the Hell Did This Happen?: The Election of 2016 promises to answer any lingering questions you and yours might have.
Plus, at only 257 pages, you’ll be sure to get through it a lot faster than last month’s Alexis de Tocqueville.
