Despite having no problem with Barack Obama’s gifting palettes of money to Iran or his close relationship with Turkey’s Erdogan, the Left has been quick to criticize President Trump’s recent tactic of reaching out to Asia’s more colorful (read: dictatorial) leaders.
Sure, Philippine President Duterte might have spit on President Trump’s White House invitation, but fashion powerhouse and Thailand’s Prime Minister since their coup/non-coup Prayuth Chan-O-Cha was excited to take Trump’s call and future steak and chocolate cake invite last month.
Plus, in a tone of fairness and being WOKE, the media should really cut Trump some slack with Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-O-Cha, after all it was Chan-O-Cha that when asked back in September 2014 if he would allow a channel for critics of his junta to express their views responded with, “I’m opening one right now. You’re yapping right now. I never stopped you, did I?”
