It started when Vladimir Putin sent a three month old Black Russian Terrier to an ailing Hugo Chavez.
Then came the letters from young, fatherless Russian constituents seeking government aid in getting a Scottish Fold kitten. Some PDers may recall the line, “I thought if the President can’t help me, who can?”
Now, after the flood of #JeSuisChien and hearing the reports that Daash took out Diesel, one of Paris’ police dogs, the Russian Government has offered to send an Alsatian puppy named Dobrynya (meaning kind and gentle) to France as, “A sign of solidarity with the people and police of France.”
Hmm…we wonder if Putin might ever try a similar tactic with Germany.
