The Crop Top King. We’ve talked about Lèse Majesté in Thailand before with the case of a man doing hard time for insulting the Royal Dog, but this week, we’re going all the back to earlier this month, when a student was sentenced to 2 ½ years in prison for sharing a BBC article on Facebook.

Having shared a profile done by the BBC, which mentioned the new King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun’s various marriages/divorces and love of crop tops, in December 2016 Pai Dao Din was arrested for Lèse Majesté.Thailand also demanded that Facebook remove any images of King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun in a crop top.

At first, Pai Dao Din was sentenced to 5 years in prison, but fortunately, since he confessed the court took pity on him and cut the sentence in half.

In any case, Pai Dao Din’s ordeal is something to consider as you share on social media.

Happy Monday!
