Jihad? So, now that we know that Islam actually means submission, let’s define jihad.

Back in 2010, Deputy NSC Adviser John Brennan tried his best to put a heavy coat of YSL lip-gloss volupte on the definition, “Jihad is a holy struggle, a legitimate tenet of Islam, meaning to purify oneself or one’s community.”

Again though, the truth is a little different.Boko Haram with their condom hats.

The term Jihad comes from Mujahada, which means to, “Signify warfare to establish a religion.”

Naturally, the Quran covers the specifics of this definition pretty well.

Quran 2:216:

Jihad is ordained for you though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know.

The whole cheer squad of Daash High.Quran 4:89:

Slay them wherever you find them.

Quran 9:36:

Fight the idolaters utterly.

Quran 8:60:

And make ready against them all you can of power, including steeds of war to strike terror into the enemies of Allah and your enemy and others besides whom may not know but whom Allah does know. And whatever you shall spend in the Cause of Allah shall be repaid unto you, and you shall not be treated unjustly. That’ll do it.

Plus, according to Abdullah ibn Abi Quhaafah (usually shortened to Abu Bakr) the father-in-law of Muhammad, “Jihad is obligatory to all Muslims.”
