With all of the talk of the Republican’s version of the Affordable Care Act, it seems like Kathleen Sebelius is finally going to get her wish.
Rejoice! There doesn’t need to be a civil war as the Left should love this.
The former Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, in December 2014, opined that, “Obamacare, no question, has a very bad brand that has been driven intentionally by a lot of misinformation and a lot of paid advertising. I think we may need to call it something in the future different, but it is working.”
Not touching on her definition of working or mentioning the Obamacare website, she continued with, “I think the financial literacy of a lot of people, particularly people who did not have insurance coverage or whose employers choose their coverage and kind of present it to them is very low, and that has been a sort of stunning revelation, and it’s not because anybody hid it from folks. It’s that this is a complicated product.”
Right, a complicated product and we’re all idiots. Got it.
Finally in an almost Trump-esque moment, Sebelius concluded the interview by saying, “I can’t imagine a process that was more open and transparent.”
