Boston’s duck boat will now need to be fitted with cameras. The latest reason to develop a serious case of agoraphobia is the ever-kitschy duck boat, which is now facing bans nationwide for causing 30+ deaths in the less than 20 years.

Originally used during WWII to transport American troops and supplies over both land and water, duck boats have since been redone as sightseeing vehicles.Even London’s duck boats have their problems.

Already fully suspended in Philadelphia, starting this April, all Boston-area duck boats will face stricter government regulations, which is an interesting concept considering that local governments, state governments, the US Coast Guard and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) currently oversee their use.

Apparently, that’s still not quite enough government to keep you and your family safe.

Just sayin’.
