Travel Ban Exemptions

I know a guy---Notice that Saudi Arabia isn’t on the Travel Ban list. We’ve got good news if you’re flying from Abu Dhabi or if you are engaged, because it looks like your travels won’t be impeded by the latest US Department of Homeland Security travel bans.

According to the DHS since, “The measures have been implemented correctly and to the full extent required,” in-cabin laptops are also considered to be fine, if they come through Abu Dhabi International.

Device ban list, with Abu Dhabi exempted.

As far as the bona fide relationship clause of the Trump Administration’s Six Nation Travel Ban (Somalia, Sudan, Iran, Syria, Yemen, Libya, Iran), those relationships include being either the parent, spouse, child, sibling, son-in-law, daughter-in-law or now fiancé of someone already residing in the US.Better start stocking up on your pressure cookers now.

What say you, PDers? Do you think the State Department’s decision to include engagements will lead to a bridal boom in 2018?
