Genius Idea: The Cursed Rocks of Gettysburg

Pretentious af.The curse of visiting a Government landmark. This week’s bit of brilliance comes from the US National Park Service and might actually be fairly clever.

Upset with park visitors taking home rocks as Civil War souvenirs from the Gettysburg National Military Park, rangers have now taken to saying that those stones are cursed.

Yes, since Federal fines have done nothing to dissuade patrons from pocketing battlefield rocks, the Government has turned to the big guns---ghosts.What the US NPS claims to be Exhibit A.

Claiming to receive rocks accompanied with letters (which detail their deepest apologies and word of their sudden hauntings and bad luck) in the mail from unfortunate souvenir hunters, rangers now want you not to take home rocks, simply for your own safety.

What say you, PDers? Will the Government soon be pitching the superstitions associated with not having single-payer healthcare?
