Paris.Secret of NIMH rats?Everyone knows how much the French love a good strike, but last month, a strike by the rodent exterminators of Paris went deeper than the usual stop/starts of any Air France flight.

50 members (almost the entire pest control workforce of Paris) of the CGT Union stationed themselves outside of City Hall waving signs with rat motifs, while placing dead rats on the ground.

According to their Union Rep. Olivier Garret, “They have always been forgotten, and they have always been the ones to do the dirty work.”Parisian picnics.

Demanding a €2,000 ($2,125) pay increase, more staff, and a heartfelt merci beaucoup from the city for cleaning up the Bataclan Concert Hall after the 2015 November Paris attacks, interestingly enough, the Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo had already promised the rodent exterminators an extra €1.5 million ($1.6 million) in their budget the week before their protest.
