Genius Idea: Attention Plead In Parliament

Senator Hanson's finest moment. For this week’s Genius Idea Friday, we have Australian Senator Pauline Hanson of the One Nation (wait, wasn’t Van Jones big on “One Nation” stuff?) Party, whom decided to wear a burqa into chambers to help cement her campaign to have the garment banned nationally.

Basically, she entered the Parliament House in Canberra and wore the burqa for a whole 10 minutes before disrobing and saying, “I'm quite happy to remove this, because this is not what should belong in this Parliament.”

The exciting play-by-play.

Can we give Senator Hanson a nice slow clap for her stunt? After all, there is nothing more genius or endearing than a political stunt.Rep. Bobby Rush in all his hoodie-wearing glory.

Remember back when Rep. Bobby Rush wore a hoodie on the House floor in the United States and how great that was?

No? Well, okay then.
