Easter Highlights

What would you like in your Easter basket this year?Even the Führer donned bunny ears. With the scourge of the sequester and the Easter Bunny unionizing long since forgotten, Easter is back on at the White House. If you’d like to skip watching Obama throw up brick after brick on the court, and the egg roll, but you still want to embrace the holiday then we have few suggestions.

The fashion gods tell us that Easter is a time for pastel, pearls, floral, and of course the obligatory one to two rabbits or ducklings.

The clutch below embraces the pastel and pearl aspects, and takes it up a notch with cameo floral. These cameo flowers are given their three dimensional pop, because they are made with banded agate.

Don’t forget the doilies.

Plan on having your Easter egg hunt poolside this year? Well, if you are a fan of Mrs. Bucket’s (pronounced Bouquet) antique floral then you’ll want to do it in this swim number.

Not a good idea if you are snow bound.

Though polka dots were played out in the 1950’s, add a white rabbit and maybe you’ve got something there. Maybe. Be forewarned, little Harvey most likely won’t enjoy hopping around on cobblestone.

Not quite bunny slippers.

Not enough floral in the swimsuit we showed you above? Channel a bit of Hyacinth’s sister, Rose and go with these babies.

Keeping Up Appearances.

Pearls and large cat eyes with enough bling to blend into any late 90’s rap video, these sunglasses can be blinding in the sunlight.

Is your hair feeling a tad hoe-hum (emphasis on the hoe), lately? Nothing says chic quite like plastic egg braids.

Looking for a clutch that will transition nicely to each holiday throughout the year? This white and gold beauty is ladylike enough for a, “Happy Easter,” spooky enough for a, “Happy Halloween,” and sparkly enough for one hell of a, “Happy New Year.”

Worth every penny.

If pearl encrusted sunglasses, and bunny heels aren’t quite your speed, then try embracing Easter with a dash of robin egg blue mascara. Italy’s best kept secret not involving piano wire is Collistar’s Mascara Infinto. Long lasting with a beautiful color pay off, for the price Collistar cannot be beat.

The look pictured is done with Chanel specialists.

For a more executive and less festive blue Avon Super Shock does the trick, and if price is no obstacle when it comes to holiday fun, Chanel’s Bleu Le Volume De Chanel mascara is a great buy.

Tell us, PDers, what types of things will you be doing to celebrate this Easter weekend? Will you be decked out in floral, pearls, and blue mascara, or do you feel like rabbit heels and plastic egg braids?

Blue mascara sounds just crazy enough for me to try. Does Sephora have Collistar or is it strictly an Italian thing?
