Memory Lane Monday: Who Does This Remind You Of---Round One

Idi Amin.Everything will change: There’s a Socialist President in France!Instead of looking at France’s new President Emmanuel Macron’s short list of greatest hits, the PD Staff wanted to kick off this second week of May with a little game. Don’t worry, Who Does This Remind You Of  is less of a calorie crunch than a round of Obama or Knockout.

We will present you with three quotes, and you’ll try to guess which political figure of today might say or has already said something similar.

As with all games in the new millennium there is no winner (plus, let’s be honest, in politics naturally the people are the real losers anyway), but the point of the game is just to have a little creative fun.

Ready?

Quote 1: Sometimes people mistake the way I talk for what I am thinking.

Quote 2: The problem with me is that I am fifty or one hundred years ahead of my time. My speed is very fast. Some ministers have had to drop out of my Government, because they could not keep up.

Quote 3: It’s not for me. I tried human flesh and it’s too salty for my taste. Here’s a special bonus fourth quote for this week. Remind you of anyone?

Have your answers? Great, leave them down in the comments.

Oh, just in case you were wondering, all three quotes belong to Idi Amin, the President of Uganda from 1971-1979, or as you might better know him His Excellency, President for Life, Field Marshal Al Hadji Doctor Idi Amin Dada, VC, DSO, MC, Lord of All the Beasts of the Earth and Fishes of the Seas and Conqueror of the British Empire in Africa in General and Uganda in Particular and the uncrowned King of Scotland.
