Memory Lane Monday: Biden’s Shylocks

Oh, Joe!Oh, Joe!For Spring Break, we plan to keep on the easy side with a quick look back at Jumpin’ Joe Biden.

In 2014, when he was still VP and considering a 2016 run, Biden took an interesting side route during his speech at the 40th Anniversary of the Legal Service Corporation.

Discussing his son he said, “People would come up to him and talk about what was happening to them at home in terms of foreclosures, in terms of bad loans. I mean, these Shylocks who took advantage of these women and men while overseas."Biden 2020---since politics is just a big joke anyway.

After a minor dust-up with the ADL (Anti-Defamation League), Biden then apologized for his, “Poor choice of words,” to which the Nation responded with a smile, collective head tilt and an, “Oh, Joe!”

Oh, yeah…those days don’t come back.

Well, at least until 2020.
