Just Sayin’: Pokémon Go Charges

:(He also posted a video of him doing it on YouTube. In a clear case of It Probably Wasn’t Worth It, Ruslan Sokolovsky decided to try to catch them all in Russia’s Church of All Saints in Yekaterinburg.

No, not saints. Pokémon.

Side note: Again, no. This is not an early attempt at an April Fool’s prank. The joke here is that this story is real.Traditionally the Russian Government doesn’t have much of a sense of humor.

The punchline isn’t so much that he was playing Pokémon Go to begin with, or that he decided to do it in a church. The knee-slapper comes from the fact that Sokolovsky has since been charged with inciting hatred and offending religious sensitivities for doing so, which means that if convicted he could receive a prison sentence of 7.5 years.

Come to think of it, there’s not a lot of laughter in gulags.

Just sayin’.

I wish I could say I felt bad for this guy, but stupidity isn't something to be pitied.
